well, we have nitrate/nitrite because of the decomposition of NH4, if we dont have NH4 (ie , being absorb by plants) , i believe they'll be only a very little of NO2, NO3...

so in this case.. i'd say a sump system would be a waste for me then ... since i just need to filter out the major waste/dirty things in my tank..and i dont need place for the biobacteria to grow..

am i correct ?
