Yes, I agree with Dom abt breaking the legs of the crickets b4 feeding them to the aro.

I once had an experience of loosing a young aro (abt 6 inches in size) after feeding it with crickets and without removing the legs. Soon after, I discovered that it has problem swimming and it was not long before it succumb to infection and died.

I did an autopsy by cutting open the guts and discovered that one of its internal organ was punctured by one of the legs of the crickets.

I admit I was inexperience and bought the fish without reading much abt it first. It is always easy to be captivated by the beauty of wildlife and with our purchasing power, it's so easy to own one. However, to be fair to all living creatures, as a hobbyist I will definitely read & research abt something before I own it. This is also to avoid the costly mistakes of time, effort and money spent without good knowledge of it.
