I am not a guru nor an expert in guppy, just a hobbyist, i am learning about guppy from books or internet...
frankly speaking, guppy is fish that can easily adopt to environment... what you need to concern is salt water and disease... don't simply mix lfs bought guppy with guppy in your house, try to quarantine new fish, bcos they might be disease carrier(so do in opposite way)... whenever there is major water change, add salt, not more than 1%...
just my 2 cents worth experience...
