brackish (were the sea joins fresh water) i matured my marine tank using puffers you put them in a bag of there own water and peg the bag on inside of the marine tank using the calcium syring i put 5ml of salt water in the bag every 5 mins till the bag were 45% salt water it took at least a hour then at this stage net the fish and job done dont tip contents of bag in to marine tank discard to convert back do the reverse into the brackish water
