Basically they will not allow you to carry live fish on the plane. However I brought back 2 fish from KL to Miri just last month. I asked the counter and they said I have to go see a person incharge of live animals in KLIA. They gave me a number to call him but I couldn't get through. At the end I just went over the candy store and bought myself chocolates in a big tin can and chuck it into my backpack. Put the bag through the detector and off I go boarding my flight back home
