sounds to me like you have the correct choice of compatible fish...perhaps it could be that the tank is just too small for them...you have any plants for cover??? maybe that will help...or perhaps it could be that the tank hasn't fully cycled yet...but if I were you I would try to add some plant for cover...and plus, plants will help to speed up the cycling of the tank...
