The striped gourami is no longer lying on his side, and is getting around much better, and eating a little. However, he has now developed a cotton like film around the side he was lying on (fungus???). No other fish has this.

Any good ways to tackle this issue? Does anyone know if/how to bring down the hardness of the water while the fish is sick? Is it safe to change the water conditions while he is sick?

I have almost finished the antibiotic treatment for bacteria that I mentioned above, and it seemed to help as the little guy has improved lots in the last few days (although the water has gotten more cloudy).

Thanks for any help
