My current Betta tank is 1 and a half feet plastic tank with waterfall type filtration and 2 java ferns, small stone gravels & a ceramic pot.. Pics below..
About 6 months back i got myself 4 black neon tetras.. i added them into the tank below and they have been living peacefully together with the betta.. since the last 2 weeks though the tetras died, 3 by old age?(i dont know, no physical symptoms), 1 died by being sucked in the pump (i forgot to plug in the last piece of the sucking pipe which has a mesh to keep the fish out, my bad)..
My question is, has anyone tried keeping bettas with other type of fishes?
I know gouramis are not suitable as betta tank mates.. some fight with bettas.. some dont.. based on my personal experience..
I'm thinking of getting a few rummy nose tetras next for his next tankmates..
One more thing.. i'm not a new member
