Usually female guppies will give birth to unhatched eggs or unformed babies when they have had lots of stress! Having said that, they are a hardy lot. So, it could just be an isolated incident. Do make sure that the tank has at least clean water with no chlorine. I find feeding some bloodworms excellent for birth.
