I read an article that suggests an approach close to dom's description. The person who wrote the article said that lack of a full saltwater environment, mortality rate of shrimplets are high. The closest it is to full saltwater, higher survival rate. I went and bought red sea salt today, but I can't find the pregnant shrimp in my tank. It is a large tank so it could be hiding somewhere. Or it could have jumped out or dropped the eggs... not sure... o well hope i spot it again someday close to hatching time or can say bye bye to shrimplets. My tank filled with botias and cories and some gobies... so survival rate would be about 0.000001%. I saw a tank filled with baby green shrimp at Ikano east aqua today. Gotta check it out, they seem to breed like rabbits.
