I have a simple question about lighting.
i see bulbs in the fish shops ranging from 10 to 20 dollars.
can i use a flouresent shop light (standard) home depot bulb to feed light to living plants?

its 45 watts, and has all the specs of a fish light you read about on line.
and if the answer is no, then why and why not?
