i don't know what kind of cichlid i have-it's small, white, and from a regular everyday fish store
. i just recently removed the cave i had in my tank (the fish would hide under it and i wouldn't see him for days...or weeks...) and i've come to realize that he spends his time digging a hole in the gravel. so my question is, when cleaning the tank i don't want to ruin his creation. how can i clean the gravel without moving the rocks from where he's placed them? also, is there a better type of gravel other than small rocks that i should have in the tank to make his digging easier? thank you!!
