My understanding la...hybridisation between different species but within same genus(Vieja synspilum and Vieja bifasciata for example) can be done with a few exceptions that cannot. Hybridisation between different species which are in different genus is usually not possible but there are again exceptions. Read it in some science papers somewhere I forget liao.
