Ha ha..... Sorry for late reply ya...
Ok, green water is actually algae enriched water. You know water from ponds or tanks left in the sun for a week or so? Greenish in colour? Ya, that's green water.
It is not so much about the algae in the water that is essential, then is the paramecia present that feeds off the algae. So in REAL sense, green water is more of a reference to paramecia feed.
There used to one supplier i know of that supplies paramecia starters, but he has migrated to australia de (or studying there, not too sure which one)...
But still it is possible to start a green water culture.... Just take some aged water (need not be from fish pond or the like), and fill a plastic 1 foot tank with it. Add some water lettuce, place it where there's strong sunlight, and let it decay... The water lettuce itself would have paramecia colonies all over it, and as it decays, will supply the nutrients needed for algal growth, which would in turn support the paramecia.
I find feeding green water to newly hatched fries for the first 4 days very suitable in my case, as prior to using green water, i used to give egg yolk and liquid fry... Ended up with only a handful of fries each time.... When i switched to green water, ended up with 400++ fries survived.... So as far as I'm concernedl, green water is the way to go....
Hoped this has helped a bit
