Hi,

On my current tank, I've tried Sera's and JBL ferropol. With mosses being the main plant in my tank(Mystical Rainforest), I can't seem to master the dosage nor the timing of using Sera. After being told by Dom that one of the local LFS which growed beautiful mosses is using JBL, I decided to give it a try. I am really satisfied with it given that there are something inside JBL's ferropol which makes it so effective for mosses. After using ferropol, my mosses seems to give a better color and shine if you know what I mean for moss lovers. If you are growing mosses, and other brands doesn't seem to you the desired results, you can probably try ferropol. Haven't tried other brands on my current tank, so it doesn't mean they are not good, am tempted to try ADA but cost is abit on the high side.

My dosing method (unscientific way and using agak agak measure) is one capful of ferropol after each weekly water change(1/4) for a 150gallon tank. First time of using ferropol, I followed the instruction roughly which states how many ml per gallon of water. Subsequently, only does the required amount after each water change. Sometimes, every 1 or 2 days, I'll dose 1/3 of a cap.

Something I found on JBL in AQ, "is JBL ferropol a complete fertiliser?"
