Yes. I would like to say you need to go thru some experiences and experiments of planted tank. Then only go for ADA. We hv to learn from the basic and how to solve the problems. This is the fun of into planted tank...

Btw, i believe non of the planted tank hobbyst able to solve the algae problem. Not Amano himself or Tom Barr. Where got aquatic plant, where got algae.

People said HC growing slow. Must use ADA soil. But then, I use Kambing and Chicken Organic fertilizer + RM1.50 N15 P15 K15 green n pink color fertilizer with 50% of holland sand n 50% of lapis sand. 3 PL-L tubes in 1.5ft height 2ft tank. They are fully grown in 5 weeks time. While the HC i got from friend were brown n dying.

But then, this is applied to those experience hobbyst. The amount n combination of the commercial fertilizer need to adjust n use it carefully. Else, you gonna cry for the dead fishes n dead plants all the time.
