Agree with the above, plus some additional info:

Common steps to med a tank
Immediate: 50% water change, then add appropriate dosage
Every 3 days: 25-50% water change, then add appropriate dosage

Approximate time-frame of medication
1-2 weeks depending on disease outbreak & severity of the problem.
For parasitic diseases (such as white-spot or cotton wool), 2 weeks recommended.

Other info
Aggressive medication is NOT OVERDOSING.
Aggressive medication = frequent water changes & medication at proper dosage.

... & finally
On the female holding the eggs - pimafix shouldn't harm them (at the proper dosage). Of course, nobody can tell so, keep ur fingers crossed.
