Basically u need to set up an establish tank, say about 2foot, (read as with substantial amount of muck and algae already growing), with a sponge filter and set your pair in there. The male will have to look after the eggs until after they hatch. Even after hatching, the male continues to defend the fry until they're free swimming. U need that established tank for the fry to get their early feed. Eventually, blanched spinach, frozen daphnia or frozen baby brine shrimp will do as fry food after a week or so.
They'll breed again in about 3 weeks.

Hey Kev, thanks for the tip.
I actually have a tank with muck and stuff in it, trouble is I don't know if they'll survive the muck lol. Also, there's a chance hydra is still in there... not good for fry. I hate the idea that this bunch of golden eggs are destined to die

. But I try my best to keep them alive. They really surprised me, I didn't expect them to breed so soon. I was just conditioning them with bloodworms and suddenly there's eggs... I gonna try taking out the eggs when they turn black, try to scrape off some muck from a tank, feed liquifry and blanched veges and microworms... hopefully some will survive.
