the problem with flowerhorn fish is that they will show aggression even at 1 inch size. chances of getting a peaceful flowerhorn are almost nil. they are hybrids of different South American cichlids, some which are aggressive but not so extreme as flowerhorn, so aggression is enhanced to an abnormal level when their species genes mix. At maturity (1 year of age), nothing can virtually stay in the tank with these guys. sometimes normal plecos can be safe with them, but you never know, because i had one large pleco that died with its body all damaged badly by my previous flowerhorn. this fish is just too much to be kept with other companion fish. i suggest you get another fish, the original species of cichlid like salvini, green terror, severum etc.
