yamato are able to survive in PH 7.5. But you need to check the PH of the water from the lfs where you bought your yamato. Try to put some tank water inside the plastic bag and place the whole plastic bag inside your tank for 30 mins. It will help to get yamato to get use to your water. (Do this for fishes as well.)
