Some tips for DIYers,

If you having trouble finding cover, shades, etc. to cover your tank to stop predators, sunlight, rain, etc.

You can buy half inch PVC pipes to make a frame that suites your tank size. Remember add 1-2 stick of PVC pipe in the middle to add reinforcement strength.

Once you finished your frame. You can buy those PVC netting to attach to the frame by using cable tight.

For those who wants shades, can buy nylon (blue/orange , very common in hardware shop) cloth. Just use stapler to staple the cloth to the frame.

For those who wants sunlight and block rain. Can buy those transparent text book wrapping sheet. use transparent sticky tape and stapler to attach the sheet to the frame.

Economic yet effective. But for those shades, please make sure there'll be minimum 4" of gap opening to ensure oxygen exchange. You can use wood block to elevate the cover. or, tilt it with something that you think there'll be enough air circulation in the tank.

I'll do a few for my own this weekend and take some pic to show you all in my next posting.
