Yeemiau,

It's about 4 hours, from 1pm to 5pm. but that side of my apartment is abit shady.
Another thing is that now is rainy season in KL. Last night i woke up at 2.30 am to put cover from rain water. There was strong wind/storm also.
Now there is no algae or greenish floor.

Question 1: do i need to clean their sh*t?
Question 2: is it good to use filter system (mechanical+biofilter) so the solid sh*t is suckaway and the poisonous ammonia can be change to harmless substrate. I was thinking to try it, so that i can hold the water longger to allow for algae growth. But i need to make sure water movement is minimised at pump/filter inlet and outlet. What do you say?
