Hi Lam,
Thanks again for clarified my doubt on the chlorine clearing and temp. shock matters. I really enjoyed reading it. Do hope it was not taking too much of your time.
Read from the forum that whenever goldfish is acting strange or looking ill, the precautious step is to quarantine the fish in 0.5% salinity water. So do the new purchased goldfishes. During my visit, Vincent did stress to me the importance of salt to Japanese ranchu. The salt is a must for all ranchu hobbyists, he added. All members there have a big bag (I think is 20KG) of salt at home.
How the salt act as ‘medicine’ in the above mentioned situations? How to perform correct quarantine? Correct salinity? Any food allowed? Change water daily? For how long? The uses of salt other than used for quarantine? And any other points that we should not miss.
Thanks a lot and sorry for asking so much questions in a day.
