Purple Kribs? Never heard of them to be truthful. If you mean those purple bellied ones.. they are actually females. Pelvicachromis pulcher is one of the most supplied cichlid in the hobby, funny you should have a problem in getting it. I must say though that the ones available locally are much inbred and are quite drab in coloration. Perhaps its because of this that most LFS fails to carry them as they don't look to attractive.
