I knew it was something like that. So there's no real negative effect that a live plant would have on a tank then? I mean apart from getting munched by the fish.

I know how you feel about losing pets in the past. When I lost my 3 other goldies I was left practically distraught with guilt. There was so much I could have done to keep them alive but either didn't know about it or didn't have to cash to do anything.
