Hey, I have a 30 Gal tank with six Bala Sharks, one Rainbow Shark, and one Plecostomus. The Bala's and Rainbow are all about 2" long and the Pleco is 5". I have one 24" 35W FL and i usually run it 14-16 hr's/day. I have seven different species of plants, not sure what their names are but the one i think is called Wisteria is turning yellow on the tops. The other plants seem to be doing just fine. I'm not sure if it would be caused by lack of light or is there something else i need. Ive read about CO2 systems but it sounded like that wouldn't be necessary for what i have set up. Also should there be a certain amount of substrate in the gravel. I have kept the gravel rather clean for the most part.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also i was considering setting up a 150 gal planted aquarium with a substrate bottom covered by two inches of gravel and i was wondering if you might have some suggestions. I plan to move the my current fish into this tank in six months.
