Hi everyone, Im new here.

I have a small tank where I put fertilizer ball all over the middle of my black gravel. The balls are around 5mm in diameter. The problem is that those fertilizer come up to the surface and I can see some of my prawns eating it. The sight of it is not nice neither.

I recently saw some soil sold in some fish shop that suppose to have all the nutrient needed. I guess it might be the JBL soil that some are talking about. How does the soil works? Do i still need my black gravel?

Some advice needed.
