Breeding guppy not an easy job to handle, lot's of ppl failed and giving up. However, I'm not the one giving up that easy. I do have special guppies in house. Some cost about RM200 - RM400 a pair, but most I kept are those normal line. Currently, I have tuxedo, grass tailed, mosaic, solid and old fashion - normal and RRE albino. I have decided to keep only tuxedo, solid and old fashion b'coz of limited space available.
Keeping or maintaining a line you need to separate out those unrelated line after 21 days after they are born. Male and female shall be separate out as well so that both can grow faster and healthier. Normally and practically, the most pretty male will be selected to breed with the female in 1 male couple with 2 female so that the highest chances of getting birth.
Crossbreed need knowledge. Do not think cross breed can create nice color to your new generation guppies, you may spoil their original gin. Crossbreed need guidance and experience, please ensure you really understand b4 doing so.
