Taking a photo of your fishes seems to be quite a problem. Most seniors hobbyists would prefer to get a small aquarium that can only host one fish just to snap a photo of their fish.
That's the ideal way but if you guys do not have such a tiny tank, I reckon you should off you the filter & air pump, leave it for 1-2 mins the snap them cos at that moment the will slow down & become not so active. The most important thing about this is please remember to switch
