Hi guys... I'll continue my stories in this thread instead of the old one.
For previous info i posted in other thread....
Just got my fish from Liew san last Sunday and fully geared to push the babies. Who else has got fish this year?
I only took 6 of them and taking another 6 later.
Diet: (for 6 in a 2' x 3' tub with 10cm water)
About 18 grams of bloodworm per day and final meal is about 30 minutes of AYU (30 minutes means as much as they can take in 30 minutes)
Target: (Current size) 30 grams/day on bloodworm
Note: Guys, don't simply chuck in 30 grams a day.... make sure they can finish.
CR bro just sent me SMS asking about amount of bloodworm and feeding schedule...
The "hints" i got for this year is..... I'm still sorting out the puzzle her just like you guys... lets openly discuss about it...
1) try to push 50grams of bloodworm per day for the fish (10). Bw helps alot for body developments.
2) And last meal of the day (around 12pm) gives pallets as much possible for 30 minutes. (i'm still working on this and will update you guys later)
3) fish should be about 100 - 120grams by now (that's whats the fish in Jap suppose to be)
Some of us starts as early as 5 am to gain more time for feeding BW. How to improve their appetite? Just like some playboy tackle gals... never give 100% until they ask for more and make them demand. As they demand more, give a little bit more but not all. Until they are so deep and hungry that they can swallow you. NOTE: if over doing it will have a reverse effect. Same old rules applied, 1 hr for BW digestion and 2 hours for pallets.(Attention BoeyTan) and i know all of us are taking short cut maximum here there everywhere (me too)... well, try your best to follow the golden rules as close as possible. Observe the poo... if sign of indigestion, slow down and re-schedule your method. All feeding stops after 12pm. (Attention BoeyTan) everyone will have their very different system and schedule... therefore, end of the day, we'll all have fish look differently cos of the way we groom them. Shape it to you liking. by experience, you'll know what and when to do in order to create the dream fish.
Water change: I do water change on the 4th day and no feeding on the water change day. let them nibble on the carpet algae to balance out the development.
Never use hypo to clear chlorine. use a container to store water. if it is under direct strong sunlight with good aeration. Chlorine will disappear as short as 30-40 minutes. Try to provide an environment without chemicals. It does effect the development of the fish.
Note: Some may not follow cos this is their first batch of babies and some ok cos this is their 2nd batch and experienced. So, pls raise questions if not clear. cos i'll be going pretty fast.
cheers.
