shamrocq, I believe you are right. The macro mode is what made the difference. However, I think the pictures could also be improved if the resolution is slightly higher. Note the fuzziness in some of the lines. I think the Olympus cameras should be OK. The great thing about Digicam is that you can always delete the poor photos away. No cost.
