Red tail sharks are territorial. If you insist on keeping 2 in a tank, be prepared to see one as a dominant fish. The other fish will not grow to be what it should be. If you have two tanks, I suggest you keep them separately. So later, if the weaker one outgrows the dominant fish, move them in together so that it can teach the dominant fish a lesson!
