Hi, sorry to have read that your betta has died, from what I know, holes in the betta tails is caused by poor water quality, might be due to chlorine burn. Did yuo treat the water before putting it into the tank during a water change? It could also be your heating light, do you stay in a place which is constantly cold all the time? But its normally the water quality which will effect bettas a lot.
