never look down on young fellas.....
i know young fellas (aged 18-22) who earns 5 digits a month (legal job) where uncle only get 4 digits.. so? who should be playing with altums..??? anyway, i would venture into scalare before altums.... always heard angelfish get this rot and that rot... stan is one of a few altum keepers that i know... and i think stan successfully keep them.... stan , got source on scalare? want to earn 5 digits, can do sales....
friend earning 20-30k a month selling cars.. local cars and the figures comes from commission... not salary... but every month got 5 digits.. dunno what number only.. keke... ----------------------------------------------------- about competing with uncles in experience, i dont agree with you... uncle or youngsters, they have diff likings.. lets say i like plants, but uncle like cichlid... so how to compete in experience???? does it mean that when he is older, what he says bout plants is true??? i dont think so..... it is so subjective... if u r talking bout lessons in life, then i fully agree with you saying youngsters can't compete with elders... but of course, there is always a saying... "elder eat more salt than younger eat rice" is this what u mean??? and this normally apply to lessons in life.... not fish keeping... peace! in the end of the day, it also depends on which perspective we are looking from... *shared what i know bout discuss with this uncle ... he say he is someone who keep them for a very long time already... we discussed about black disease and food...so the conversation goes bla bla bla..... but if i practised what he told me today and share the information with others, i will kena nicely from the Discus kakis here.... because what he told me does not sound like what the discus kaki told me.. and i choose to trust the kakis here than the so called experienced-discuss-keeper .. he told discus wont grow more than 4" or max 5"... where i've seen a 6" fish .... and he cut me off by saying... nonsense they can grow so big... me = 2 months keeping discus uncle = years it seemed.... see how this link to what we are discussing?? hahaha...experience in years does not equal quality time. fellas on the internet learn so much more in short space of time...only whether the info sinks in that's a different matter.
all i can say is i remember the major screwups more than the success. sign of experience? haha oscar wilde is very wise in this his most often quoted quote 'experience is what i call my mistakes'
