Smile My Webpage

Hi. I would like to share with you my webpage. The photos are basically experiments with an old digital camera.

http://www1.mmu.edu.my/~kkteoh/indexaqua.htm

My little contribution to the aquascaping community. I have tried to keep the webpage simple and not too technical. Thus, I doubt if you pros will be able to learn much. I'll try to update the webpage with a photo(s) of the whole tank once I learn how to stitch photos together.

Thanks.

Great job on your website. Your old Digichem seems even better than my "NEW" olympus mju 400. Always wondered how you guys set up your own websites, must be fun!!!

Cheers,

KG

Kimco, surprisingly this old camera with only 0.37MP has a 1inch macro (if I'm not mistaken). This is one of those camera which still uses 3.5 inch floppy disks. I just realized unfortunately, that on Netscape, the alignment runs.

Envy you guys in KL. Wish I could drop by easily. I wanted so much to see Robby but to date, still have no chance.

hi guys... i'm no expert in digi cams but i think it's not the brand... it's the macro function keatpek mentioned. i take it when u guys say much clearer as in his plants picture are more 'detailed' and 'zoom in' without blurring. u can achieve that if ur camera have a macro function or a macro filter. it's function is to take small pix in detail... just my 2 cents

shamrocq, I believe you are right. The macro mode is what made the difference. However, I think the pictures could also be improved if the resolution is slightly higher. Note the fuzziness in some of the lines. I think the Olympus cameras should be OK. The great thing about Digicam is that you can always delete the poor photos away. No cost.

Oh yeah Dom, I would want to take a picture of the whole tank but I thought it would be better if I stitch the photos up so that the details could be maintained. I would also need to clear away the reactor, thermometer, wipe the glass etc. first. So, would need some time la...

Update: Added a photo of whole tank. Unfortunately, my stitching skills are rather poor and you can see the lines where the photos join together.

Before you guys start the debate on Dutch or Zen, I think I should let you know that I just basically dump in the plants and move them around until I like the looks. I prefer calling it eclectic i.e. rojak.
