Are you going DIY with the CO2? I tried that with my 2 footer and found the CO2 output inadequate. The flow is not constant and very difficult to control. Obviously the plants in the tank is not at its best.
Another way would be to go for plants with lower light and CO2 requirements. If you choose correctly, it can be very nice also.
