pH7
kH 5

CO2 is around 16ppm according to the CO2 chart..

This dymax reactor, looks simple but pretty efficient... have an atomizer to produce tiny co2 bubbles that goes up the diffusor and also due to strong water current, some tiny bubbles is being blown into the tank.. I can see tiny tiny co2 bubbles all over my tank..

How much is the cost?
Where did u get it?
Care to upload a pic here?

I like JBL reactor best, quite similar to Dennerle but is extensible as it consist of separate dish that you stack together according to your tank height. Water can actually pass through the whole length of it. Only problem is sludge get into the dish from those slots along the wall but can easily dislodge by blowing water thru it. Standard package of 8" cost about RM100. Additional dishes sold in pack of about 4". I found 8" is just nice for my 3' tank.

Guys stay away from JBLs CO2 reactor, it is only effective for medium sized tanks even with the extension. Doesn't dissolve very well and CO2 bubbles always wasted at the hole at the top.

overdrive,

I read on the product info, it says those gas at the top are not CO2 gas but other undissolve gas.

I notice my Dymax difussor, the gas level at the top of the difussor... even tho I turn it on 24hrs a day, in the morning the gas level is lower than during day time...

Any idea why..

I read somewhere that those residual bubbles are in fact nitrogen that get into the bubbles when CO2 is diffusing. Years ago I use reactor made of power head that is highly effective and still have residual bubbles. Me think JBL vario is quite effective and like it a lot.

Hmm, well I tried it before and it didn't dissolve as much CO2 as I wanted, anyway can it maintain about 30-35mg/l of CO2 in the water whenever the lights are on? I find that at this amount of CO2 hair algae will not grow. But if you're happy with it then it shouldn't be a problem Yup there will be residual gasses in there due to the gas exchange, my Dennerle Cyclo has a waste gas vent which automatically ' burbs' this waste gas out when the top becomes full. Just that I find that some CO2 reactors should keep the CO2 gasses in contact with the water longer before being released as waste gasses. No idea about your observations on your Dymax too Stan
