Default Unknown Caterpillar.

I just bought some Stellata narrow leaf and long leaf. But after few days i put inside my tank. I saw the newer leaves which growing on top was broken into 2 or eaten by something.

Finally, i found something moving slow on the gravel or on the plant. It is look like some aquatic moth larvae use pieces of leaves to make a blanket or home over top of the leaf they are eating (often lily leaves). Normally they are more active when the lighting is off.

That worm look like maggots more than caterpillar. So far, i cant really get the info/detail from internet. The worm too small. Hardly to take the pic. Heard mosquito dunk may kill them.

Anyone saw this type of worm b4? how to cure?

Hi Dom,

Try immerse your infected plants into Potasium Permanganate or 1:20 bleach to water solution. For your Stellata, 2 minutes is the most you can try. Got to act fast. Else, your plants will be finished by them in no time. Hope this help.
