Cool My new nano tank

These are pictures of my nano tank, just finished rescapping yesterday. So the water hasn't really settled down yet. Since I can't bring it all the way to KL for the Nano Tank Competition, I will just post it here for all to comment, Har Har... I might want to rearrange the arrangement when I get back from KL next Wednesday, so please give me your feedback.

For yer info, I've only got java moss and 30W of lights, with no CO2. Keeping the set up simple, as I have one 3ft and 4ft planted tank to maintain. (Can see the reflections of my 4ft tank) :P

nice rock you are using in there. cant wait to see the moss growing. 30W for the moss...won't you think it is a bit too high for the moss? Moss do well below 26C.

Talking Hmmmm

Yea, I understand, but the 30W is the cheap China, light saving, daylight bulb, not PL or FL. it's the bulb kind. As you can see, the light is not that intense/bright. Was thinking of switching to maybe a 9W mini PL or maybe just a 22W energy saving, daylight bulb. But scared it won't be bright enough, and not syok lar... hehe

What do you think, sifu? Harhar...

i m not sifu lar...a junior only.

moss doesnt need any bright or high lighting. somemore, yr tank is new tank. pls don't get yr photoperiod too long. Perhaps, 1-2 hours for first week. Then 2nd week with 3-4 hours will do. After a month, then try 6-8 hours max.

The most important is the temperature of yr tank. try to get a fan browing on it 24 hours. Moss growing fast within 22-25C.

How big is yr tank? i was using 9W for the moss. Temp able to get 25C. and they growing nice.
