to tell you the true, yamato is not a good jumper, but they can climb, i lost about 60+ yamato in one night,when i last order a 100 yamato to share with the forumers.
this kind of shirmo they ar build to climb. so when they are not used to the new enviromant or water condition they will try to climb out from the tank, even a flat surface.
the next day morning i found alot of dried shirmps all over the house, and some even climbs till my kitchen and the stair out the house.
so make sure you close tight your aquarium when you introducing new yamato shirmp.
