Simple, not enough CO2, your kh of 4, you should aim for a pH of 6.6 consistently. If you achieve this, you will see your banana plant bubbling below the leaves

well once there's rotting vege matter, the shrimp will scavenge there. i've had this problem before. the leaves seem 'crispy' and break into the cracks like your banana plant. not 100% sure but sure helps if we know more of your water parameters.

overdrive,

I think my CO2 is enuf... most of the java ferns & balanese is bubbling below the leaves....

My pH tester only give a 0.5 diff... so it is either 6.5 or 7... I cannot tell anything in between but can tell from the bubbling from the plants..

Sometimes even the java moss also bubbling..

I think it could be the fishes/shrimp eating the leaves...

Stanley

could just be old leaves. my lotus shimada does the same thing. on top of that the stalk melts but the leaves stay green.
