That is the left side of my tank where the motor for my overhead filter used to be, and where a driftwood used to be to cover the filter motor. now since using canister, and removed both motor and the driftwood, that place kinda empty. that's why try to cover with riccia... normal and mini.

1 question: can the growth of riccia be stunned if suddenly no co2 for 2 days? my tank went empty yestrday morning and only today evening can get back (refill at Jit Sheng - 1 day niar. CTY takes 5 days )

I don't think riccia will be stunted lah...unless low light...
Anyway there will be more or less some CO2 generate out from your fish and plants(night time)

I don't think you can stunt riccia... it'll just melt on you.

I think I learned something during I retie my riccia.....
We have to 'cut' them into smaller piece, as long as it doesn't escape from the net. This is due to riccia growth by dividing the end of it's leaves. So, if we tie the long long brunch, it will only growth at the end, and middle will be nothing.....
Please correct me if I am wrong......

Yup, you are correct. It's the same reason some of us hate riccia.

Hum....besides this, I think also a high maintainance plant... you have to spend substancial time to maintain it:tie, trim, clean up the filter due chock by lossing riccia, clean up the floating riccia daily, etc etc etc...
Hoowever, I like to see them pearling and growing wild in the water....
Is there any other similar plant have the similar effect like riccia?
I have chrismas moss and Glossostigma and other low maintainance plants too.
But out of these 3, I still like riccia the most also hate it the most due to high maintainance.....

Nicely done. Is the riccia tied to stones? Any more recent pictures?
