Default Analysis of WPG

Here's an analysis of the WPG of Amano's tanks in his Nature Aquarium World books:

http://www.fitchfamily.com/lighting.html

There's even a calculator at the bottom to determine the wattage you need for your tank.

After a week, one patch of my riccia starts to grow. The rest is seeing sign of growing too.

Hope they will grow to cover bottom of my tank and pearling one day .

Default Pearling

They should have already started pearling at this stage if there is adequate light, CO2 and nutrients. If they have not, they probably will not start later since they react quite quickly to favourable conditions.

The normal culprit is lack of light...

However, not pearling does not mean it is not growing and the riccia is unhealthy. It just isn't producing enough O2 to saturate the water...
