The color varies with conditions. Even the 'veins' are quite variable. More intense lighting will make the leaves pinkish. However, these are quite deep in the tank and do not get much light... will post a better picture when there is an opportunity.

Default Blyxa Japonica/Novoguineensis?

Even though it looks like a rosette plant, it actually is a stem plant. Easy to cultivate and produces massive root systems. Does well with medium light intensity. Turns reddish with high light and produces lots of O2. Does not like extended exposure to air.

Do check out YT's display tank for superb specimens.

Hi Ruslan,

A lot of people call the plant above Blyxa japonica but I think it is actually Blyxa novoguineensis. Blyxa japonica grows a bit like stem plant. It goes higher as it grows but Blyxa novoguineensis get bigger sideways. I saw both together before at Mr Yee's fish shop and leaf wise they look the same but growth patern is very different.

I could be mistaken, your pic might be Blyxa japonica. You need to id it again as it get more mature.

1-2 pic is Blyxa japonica
3rd pic is Blyxa novoguineensis
