Very interesting analogy. Never thought of mixing and matching substrate before. However, I guess cannot simply do, otherwise end up with plant stomach ache? heh heh

I think substrate fert more economical than liquiferts. But suitable more to the plants that absorb with their roots a lot like echinodrus species. Doubt it'll be very useful for riccia and etc. But that is some fertile substrate! Careful your plant grow gigantic :P.

wah lau eh...macam tu pun boleh! not all the plants grow like you will be good ler. hahahaha... imagine i keeping u inside a 3x2x2ft tank and see.

the gravel should sliding down from background to foreground. else, the fore ground plants cover the middle ground n back ground. cant really bring out yr focus point n layout.

let me rescape for yr 3ft tank in yr shop. I need half of that holland sand. 1 full pail of the lapis sand (filtered n fine type). Then 2 packs of those organic fert. Get ready the plants you want... low maintenance or high maintenance plants...depends on your. I will first draw the layout and focus point...(learnt from Amano lar...)on the paper. (finally finished reading his book and learnt a lot.) Will show you before i do it lar.

ok?? next week?
