Newbies: Advise for Aquarium Setup - Page 3

Yalor haven't try. At most put fan lar. I don't really like the idea of chiller because it's so expensive. Somemore if you want to repair have to send back to manufacturer. Very expensive. Air cond anyone can repair and fan can be replaceable. I don't think the chiller option is viable for most hobbyist unless your name got T.S in front like Genting's Uncle Lim.

Hey Guys,
Wah, really nice getting advise from you guys, I think probably
my plant aquarium fever is quite high, but looking from the replies I got, wah,
I think the sifus here still have a bit of fever, he!he!, otherwise, how
to come out with all the different, so creative solutions. Really make
me envious, hope one day I could see some of your plant aquarium
to make my fever even higher.

Yup....getting fever is very normal for any newbie ya...hehe i am still a newbie here and had got on this fever not too long ago...hehe as the seniors always said...now keeping fish and keeping plants is no longer a tough task as easily few clicks we are able to get to source more info for the particular subject.......do more research before venturing or making decision....of coz u r always free to post any question in forum seeking explainations....but .....we must do our own part first also ya....by doing research....reading back dated threads....read from other forums or sites ...magazines....etc.......then really still dun understand....post it up here..

Do join any activity organise by members or either by lfs or our MAC ( Malaysia Aquascaping Club) activities....i bet your fever would shoot up much higher...haha the others who has been struck by fever for a long time....some of them had reached the paranoid stage....hehe ...heheh

A 5x2x2 planted tank = super headache.
it wont be easy to organize such a big tank if u are doing it for the first time.
if u want a really good setup...u gotta plan everything before hand...dont try to finish it in one evening....after u bought some plants and suddenly decide to do up your tank.....many of us planters started our first tank that way ...on impluse but look at the junk we inherited.

Just curious and I am quite new too. Appreciate your advise.
As per my knowledge Sera long term fert is a nutrient rich substrate and can be use alone. Why we need to purchse Holland gravel and mixed with Sera long term fert?
If mixed can you please advise how we can do it?
