So buy juvenile and keep in planted tanks and they never grow beyond 2"? Or you need to do something special.

After reading thru the threads, I realized that I have 2 pcs of adult (at least 3 years old) surimensis in my KOI pond in Ipoh. Forgot where I got them from last time, could be from CC...hmm....too bad last time didn't dump geophagus into the pond otherwise I'll have a few ultraman inside the pond already.

yar la common ..but must get those cannot die one la...if from AI...tara mati bukan ikan AI la.
Tapajos ...i think next month la ...when i go bangkok. last month i go habis ...no more stock. cheap ...rm20 to tm30 each la...abt 4 to 5 inch.

its not rare or nor rare la...fis die can throw ma...if muka die ...how to hide ah

3 years ago now must be bery big liao ler ...i saw one at abt 7inch rm30....bery chun o.
in bangkok a 5 inch speciment is about rm100 hor....i told them this fis in malaysia 3inch is only rm3 to 4...but they laugh at me lor...dun believe ma

nothing special..infact it would save u alot of trouble also....for the 1st few months feed only once every two weeks. only then feed the normal planted tank fish way ....once every 3 days

Heehee, this altifrons sure dun die one. Me keep for more than 1 month also dun die you sure no problem one. You wan you let me know lah, it's selling for RM2 for 1 inch plus fis.
Wah, like that I wan 5 pcs tapajos can ar? 4 to 5 inch can sex boh?

Yeah, looks like the size of those at Xian Leng Shah Alam already(if they still have them). They live happily with my KOIs.

They can hide and swim quite fast also, no point to catch them now. Let them be in the pond now.
