Default Questions on Nano tanks gadgets

Dear members,

1) What is the best Co2 reactor/diffuser for nano tank? (lily pipe? ceramic diffuser? etc)

2) What is the best lighting set (looks nice and enough wattage)?

3) Btw, have anyone seen any Co2 splitter around lately?

Just shoot your suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Rgds,
Isaac

lily pipe is not the co2 diffusor. and it cost RM400+.

you can use the wooden type of air stone which is use for protein skimmer. Very tinny bubbles...

depends on what plants do you hv. I m using a table lamp from ACE Hardware. 2 x 9W PL-S. Or else, you can get any hang on or clip on lighting which is RM30-50 with 11W PL-S.

CO2 splitter...NA selling it. But not so good. It causing the CO2 leaking. Get the one used by WTF last time. (Able to get from SG only. S$40 for 2-3 outlets and 1 inlet.)

i see lots of people using the wooden airstone and cheap. now i regret why i buy the diffusor

why not DIY your own light? of course depend on how small the nano is hehe. i used a 36W PLL for my 15 inches tank :P but it is standing at a higher pos with my DIY stand haha.

i bought one from singapore, and now supplying co2 to my 2.5 and 1.5 should be standard size but might need to tweak the position of the regulator a bit.

Dom,

I saw LFS selling fake ADA Co2 diffuser. Dunno how effective is the ADA styled Co2 diffuser?

The wooden one very cheap, I use before, it's like the ceramic one I have, but I'm thinking of something more effective. Maybe will use the wooden one to try again.

I am currently using 1 DIY PL light 24w for my tank. But it looks a bit ugly, looking for lighting with wattage around 24w - 30w.

As for the Co2 Splitter, last time 88 sell the bronze type, very good but I don't think they stock it anymore. Used to be selling around rm80, shud be the same used by WTF.

Thanks for your feedback.

Got a picture of your DIY light? I am thinking of something like ADA one with the stand coming only from one side and the lighting howering on top of the tank but don't have the skill to make the stand.

I know what you mean of the Co2 splitter but can't get locally. I've seen people using also.

haha my DIY light very ugly one. anyway, it is using the half-pvc pipe concept that you can see from my previous post in other forum. I have thought about the ADA style stand too (using PVC pipes to assemble) but never take the effort to haha. shouldn't be a big problem if you have a wooden cabinet that you can nail thing onto
