Hi Isaac,
Glad to hear that your fern is growing. Here is the picture of my tank just taken 2 days ago. I am not good at aquascaping as compared to you and the members here. As you can see the HC territory has been invaded by the Hairgrass and same will occur to the Downoi as well. I just set up another 2 taiwan moss wall last week. Now I'm just waiting for the moss wall to form and also the Hairgrass and Downoi to cover the front. After that, I will introduce shrimps and green neon tetra to replace my killies (given away). You will get some baby phillipines fern & baby narrow leaf java fern from me soon. Do you still have CRS & Cherry shrimps for sale? Is it safe to keep it with Yamato shrimps? Cheers. |

Judging by your tank picture, you are just too humble. I see you are an accomplished aquascaper. Your tank looks to have grown by leaps and bounce from the last time I saw it. Nice choice with the hairgrass, reminds me of one of the top 10 tank for ADA 2005 with ferns and hairgrass. You have a very nice tank, I actually envy the green and healthy ferns. Once the hairgrass invades your HC, you can say bye bye to them already, they won't grow nice(grow tall) and slowly will die because cannot get enough light. baby phillipines fern & baby narrow leaf java fern for me? Can't wait, I want to grow nice ferns like you too. Thanks in advance. I will reserve all of them if I can...hahaha...very greedy Don't have Crs for sale at the moment. Going thru a barren spell now, however, I know someone who has. Just drop me a call. Crs or smaller sized shrimps with yamato can be achieved but it's not a good combination, some ppl actually reported attacks by yamato on smaller shrimps but I myself have not seen it with my own eyes. However, it will still be imaginable because of the size of the yamato compared to other shrimps.

My ferns also got black spot, but only few leaves with baby ferns. I just wait for the baby ferns to develop then I manually remove the old leaves with black spot.
Old leave = black spot? Is it? Not sure, maybe my tank is lacking certain nutrients that causing the black spot on my ferns. Regards |

Hi Isaac,
When it comes to plant and especially slow growing plants, it's a norm to get as much as possible for aquascaping. If want to wait for the plant to grow to the desired amount, it takes months. Normally planted tank hobbyist don't have that kind of patience. As for the CRS, will give you a ring once the tank is mature enough. I'm currently looking for green neon tetra but unfortunately not available in LFS in PJ or AI. 88 Sunway Mas only brought in twice and they are keeping some in their main tank but not for sale. Boon (8 How's your nano tank? Mind if I visit your place to have a look at your 深山 and nano tank? Regards, Chuah |

You are welcome to come, but maybe another 1 month because my nano tank is not ready. HC just starting to crawl, coral pellia just starting to grow and I've cut the supporting threads, I am also waiting for some plants to try out like chendol plant, Eriocaulon cinereum, Eriocaulon Sp “Guang Zhou” from some kind members. Should arrive this week. You were too late for the 深山 jungle tank as I am more or less dismantling it slowly selling plants and here there. Anyway, it did not do well at no. 330 at this year ADA's contest. Sometimes admiring the pictures is the best because it captured the peak of the tank. Hah! In case you did not get to see my earlier submitted picture. Here it is again. ![]()
