Hi Nasfish. Nice tanks (drool). The 3rd tank caught my eye the most. maybe I'm in this phase currently. I think scaping with rocks is challenging. Methinks, the hardscape line is too straight. Needs smaller rocks/stones scattered to break the line and make it look more natural. If there can be smaller plants to cover some of the rock base lagi swee. And if nana petites are used instead...

Just my opinion. You don't have to agree

Thanks creep,

Actually the 3rd tank is work in progress. Trying something new to me, aquascaping with rocks. The idea is to mimic the beach area, looking far from the sea. And this tank is quite new, and a lot of works to do. I am really appreciate your input. Don't worry, I am a nice person actually, can accept any suggestion/opinion to improve my tank and hoping we can learn something together.

Regards

Ha ha, who says you are a nasty person? I'm lurking err looking around for ideas for my next rescape. Having a toss-up between a natural jungle look or a rock+driftwood scape. That's why I found your rockscape interesting. BTW, what's OHKO rock and Teras DW - never heard of them.

Hi,

Hahaha...no one says that...just like to say it...hoping to get more feedbacks..

OHKO stone is actually very nice stone, used a lot in Amano tanks. But see this Wayne Sham tank from AGA 2005 using the OHKO stone. I am using this OHKO stone in my 2nd and 3rd tank. About Teras driftwood, is just like ADA driftwood, but at East Aqua and 88, selling it as Teras driftwood. I am not sure if both are the same driftwood though...

Hi Nas,

The Blyxa japonica and Hm looks yummy in the first two tanks.
Not sure what the theme is but they look very similar. You may want to experiment with island layout for the second tank perhaps.

Can see potential for the third. Maybe a curtain of Cyperus helferi in the bg will fill things up.

Regards

Stan

Hi, Thanks.

I am also not sure the theme of the first two tanks, lol. . But come to think of it, yes you are right they look almost the same. This is what happens, when use recycle cuttings from other tank, to the next available tank, too 'erk..what the word' to throw away those extra cuttings...hahhaha..maybe when after the glosso grew too thick, I will try another kind of layout for the 2nd tank. The third tank right now in 'not to touch' stage. Want to wait until the tank stable a bit, then maybe to add other plant, as you suggested..thanks Stan..for the input...

Creep, yes got those OHKO rocks from the same place as the DW.

Anyway some history on Tank #1 :
Initially this tank was for goldfish only tank. After the poor goldfish passed away, I decided to try planted tank with some Rainbows. Here is the progress of this tank, my first tank, from non CO2 tank to neglected tank to low tech tank and finally to current tank. The tank is in the fourth year now. Let the pictures tell the story.

Regards

Obviously you are a more accomplished planter than me. All the tanks I see in the pictures are lush and healthy. Makes me envy your skills.

Good job on maintaining not 1, but 4 beautiful tanks. I can imagine you poured your heart and sweat into growing them into the state they are.
